Researcher in interactive narratives and historical empathy

The University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC) is recruiting a contract researcher F/H for the COSTECH laboratory (Knowledge, Organisation and Technical Systems - UR 2223), as part of the ITS-STORY research project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) https://its-story.hds.utc.fr/

The ITS-STORY project examines the potential of immersive technologies for remembrance work on the Second World War, focusing in particular on the role of internment and deportation camps. The central question of the project is:

"Can mixed reality be used for Memory work on these sites, and if so, how and what effects will it have on visitors?»

MISSIONS

The successfull applicant will be entrusted with the following tasks:

• Take charge of writing interactive scenarios

• Participate in the design and development of immersive mixed reality experiences;

• Contribute to the international dissemination of results.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of virtual reality and mixed reality.

Work environment and context

The person recruited will work in the COSTECH laboratory, a human and social sciences laboratory at UTC - Technology, Societies, Humanities (TSH) department, and will interact with the multidisciplinary team of the ITS-STORY project.
